Taking care of art goes far beyond exhibiting it.
Behind every exhibition, transport and new project, there is an important responsibility: protecting the artworks entrusted to us.
At Galerie Dumas, we work with more than 50 Austrian and international artists. Their works are exhibited at our gallery in Linz, presented through external projects and exhibitions, transported internationally and eventually find their way into private collections.
As we prepare for our next projects, including Dino Pearl’s solo exhibition in Vienna, the Linzer Kunstsalon and the transport of one of his works for a museum project in Munich, insurance and careful planning are an essential part of the process.
Since the opening of Galerie Dumas in 2021, Christoph Kathan and EFM Versicherungsmakler have accompanied us in this area. As an independent insurance broker, Christoph helps us find solutions adapted to the different needs of our gallery, exhibitions and transports, and supports us when something does not go according to plan.
Taking care of your own art collection
The same principle applies to private collectors.
Whether you are buying your first artwork or have been building a collection for many years, artworks are part of your personal heritage and deserve to be properly documented and protected.
We recommend keeping good photographs of each artwork together with the gallery invoice and certificate of authenticity. Insurance can also be considered from the very first acquisition, regardless of the value of the artwork.
