Pedro Hamon

Pedro Hamon, a Colombian by birth but a Munich native at heart, embodies a unique blend of cultural influences that define his artistic journey. His roots trace back to Colombia, yet it’s in the vibrant streets of Munich where his creative spirit finds solace. His formative years were shaped by his pursuit of architectural knowledge at the Technical University of Munich, where he delved deep into the intricacies of design and structure.

During his time in Munich, Pedro’s diverse experiences were not limited to the confines of academia. He seamlessly balanced his academic pursuits with real-world experiences, often found waiting tables at the iconic Oktoberfest in the Ochsenbraterei. With a remarkable ease, he maneuvered through the bustling crowds, effortlessly carrying trays laden with liters of beer—a testament to his strength and adaptability.

The allure of exploration led Pedro to embark on a transformative journey to Porto for a year abroad. It was here that he found himself captivated by the architectural marvels that adorned the streets of Portugal. Inspired by the rich tapestry of architectural language, Pedro’s artistic sensibilities were awakened, laying the foundation for his future endeavors.

Now based in the dynamic cityscape of Berlin, Pedro’s artistic expression knows no bounds. Drawing inspiration from his architectural background and the fluid forms of the urban landscape, he has found his true calling in the medium of linocut. With each meticulous cut and stroke, Pedro meticulously constructs his compositions, much like an architect designing a structure—layer by layer, line by line.

Pedro’s artistic vision transcends the confines of the studio, as he finds inspiration in the ordinary facets of everyday life and the raw beauty of nature. His works serve as a reflection of his innermost thoughts and emotions, encapsulating the essence of human existence in a visual narrative.

Driven by his passion for innovation, Pedro revels in the process of automation and thrives on the precision of lists—a testament to his innate affinity for technology and efficiency. His ability to swiftly adapt and comprehend intricate technological processes further underscores his versatility as an artist.

In Pedro Hamon’s world, art is not merely a product but a journey—an exploration of culture, identity, and the human experience. With each stroke of his linocut tools, he breathes life into his creations, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the boundless realms of his imagination. As he continues to push the boundaries of artistic expression, Pedro Hamon stands as a testament to the transcendent power of creativity and the enduring allure of cultural fusion.
