The artist duo VIDEO.SCKRE combines a fictional idea of ​​fauna and flora on large-format murals and canvases. Their artistic approach follows the credo: Seeing things not as they are, but as we are. It is crucial for this game that you play it without a reason, that it must not have a reason at all. In their artistic search, following the urge to play, they see nature as a sanatorium.

Natures forms and constant change are the basis of their work. VIDEO and SCKRE are an artist duo, who form a powerful and inspiring partnership. They turn the public space into their studio and and use it as an experimental field. The artist duo receive their inspiration from nature and from their travels, observations and experiences.

The base of VIDEO’s work is the fast and intuitive sketch. She focuses on the characters of animals in motion and transition, while SCKRE connects them with his ornamental, abstract landscapes, shapes and forms. He combines impulses from two worlds – classic style writing on the one hand and his work as a stage painter on the other. Together both artists often experiment with different formats, materials and techniques. The unifying element of their own artistic work is a fictional idea of ​​nature.

VIDEO (Julia Heinisch born 1990 in Linz, Austria) expands quick, intuitive sketches into large-scale wall paintings. Recurring motifs include animals in motion and the transition from one state to another. The chosen themes are closely tied to the momentary and are in constant metamorphosis. Her works reveal parts of what once was, as well as what is in the process of becoming. She studied Art History at the University of Vienna and Fine Arts with a focus on Sculpture and Transmedia Space at the University of Art and Design Linz.

SCKRE (Frederic Sontag born 1988 in Ludwigsburg, Germany) has been appropriating public space as a playground since adolescence. He experiments with the possibilities of applying color, forms, and their dissolution. Inspired by classic style writing and his training as a stage painter, he bridges the gap between these two worlds. He consistently practices gestural work on vertical surfaces. His input comes from both natural forms and geometry.

Together they own a studio in Linz (Austria) since 2018 and realize national and international mural and art projects.
